Incoming Explorer II
One AD I just visited today has an Explorer I in stock (none of the other two AD had it). He said it just came in and probably will be gone in under a week. Is the Explorer I part of the stainless professional shortage? I’d really want a Sub or GMT, but the Explorer I .
I had reached out to them the day the 36mm 124270 was announced back in April. Previous client who ordered it no longer interested- so I was next! Only by chance did I make it to the AD in time, the next person after couldn't get there before me on Monday. With the new price increase (0) the new price is ,200 not including tax/vat. The tax rate is 13% in my region so the new price would be ,136 USD. As much as I love the watch and what it stands for, I find it hard to justify to myself paying that much for a SS, 3 hander. Does anyone have any insight on the current wait time for a Rolex Explorer and is the Rolex Explorer one of the more desirable watches on the wait list? Bonus question: Should I go on the grey market to purchase one or is the prediction that the supply chain/potential looming recession will bring more stock? No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2022 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes: What watch did you buy? When? How long did you wait? Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD) Any purchase history with that AD?
So I made a visit a local Rolex dealer to see if they had the 2021 Explorer 1, because it’s been in my head a little recently (with some back-and-forth debate) and I at least wanted to experience in person to see if it would affect me basically. I did not intend to start yet another thread on a new 36mm Rolex Explorer. During the week, I walked past a Rolex Authorised Dealer while I was on my way to a Work Training thingo. They were not yet open but I saw a two tone 36mm Explorer, which got me excited, and I made a mental note to try it on during the weekend.
I’ll try a dealer that’s out of state. 3-months without a commitment that I’ll ever see a watch doesn’t seem right. Just called. No luck. The dealer said they’re not allowed to sell outside of the immediate area. Also no stock. I guess depends on location. In my area, if you don’t purchase at least a precious metal reference, one is pretty much out of luck to get a call. Better chances to just walk in and tickle the SA a bit and show your genuine interest on . The sillage for this fragrance is really soft and it lasts on me for more than 10 hours, after which it becomes slightly light, but you can still feel the scent lingering around. Pros of Louis Vuitton Dans La Peau Perfume: Classy packaging. Magnetic lid. Refilling option available. Smells lovely. Can be worn as a daytime and nighttime perfume.
