The Makers House exhibition was open for a week following the brand’s September show, which was the first that allowed consumers to purchase straight from the catwalk. Burberry has teamed up with design store The New Craftsmen to launch a pop-up fashion and events space for London Design Festival and Fashion Week. Visitors can see clothes from the brand’s latest runway show alongside daily demonstrations from British makersHeritage, craftsmanship and innovation are at the heart of the Burberry story, as embodied by the iconic trench coat – woven from the weatherproof gabardine cloth invented by the founder Thomas.
